Maintenance Manager – SPI Management

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands‑on Maintenance Manager to oversee a skilled maintenance team within a busy, fast‑paced operational setting. You'll ensure everything behind the scenes — from equipment to facilities — runs seamlessly, safely, and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, support, and develop a dedicated maintenance team.
  • Plan, schedule, and track maintenance activities using internal systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or building issues efficiently.
  • Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Oversee essential inspections, ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.
  • Manage MHE (Material Handling Equipment) training, testing, and record‑keeping.
Required
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English & Maths.
  • RTITB Forklift Instructor qualification.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
  • City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2+ or BTEC in mechanical, electrical, or building maintenance.
  • Experience in maintenance management or facilities supervision.
  • Familiarity with MHE equipment and general tools.
Additional Details
  • 40‑hour week, Monday‑Friday (occasional weekend or bank holiday work).
  • 30 days annual leave including bank holidays.
