Job summary

A leading beverage company in Lisburn is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to undertake corrective actions for machinery breakdowns, maintain PLC systems, and ensure safety standards. Qualifications

• Minimum 4 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above.
• HNC or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering or electronics.
• Minimum 3 years’ FMCG experience.
• 2-3 years in a technical role with equipment and control systems.

• Solve reasons for breakdown and undertake corrective and preventative actions to resolve.
• Repairs and maintenance of PLC controlled machinery.
• The recording and reporting of maintenance activities.
• Conduct equipment inspections and determine appropriate job work scopes and standards.
• Create and maintain plant history and other technical files to include information in current job plans to anticipate and avoid job delays.
• Provide technical assistance as required to improve the reliability and performance of the plant's machinery.
• Comply with company policies and procedures, inc. Health & Safety Standards.
• Utilise Computer based maintenance management system to support the maintenance function.
• Minimum 4 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above, or equivalent.
• HNC or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering or electronics / NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ FMCG experience.
• 2‑3 years in a technical role including experience in the interpretation of drawings, installation of new equipment and knowledge of control systems.
• Demonstrates the highest standards of practice in health and safety.
• Demonstrates cross‑functional thinking and understanding.

Desired Criteria

• Time served artisan (Electrical, Electronic)
• 3rd level qualification in Engineering (Electrical or Electronics)
• PLC programming experience.
