Job description

Burnbrae Medical Practice is seeking a Locum GP for up to 6 sessions a week for 2 weeks in January 2026 (weeks beginning 12 January 2026 and 19 January 2026). The post is to cover annual leave. We are a single GP Practice with approximately 9000 patients based in Shotts and Newmains, North Lanarkshire. Cover will be based at our Shotts Practice.

We are supported by a dedicated multidisciplinary team of 5 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, a Nurse Practitioner for Long Term Conditions, a Nurse Practitioner for Mental Health, a Nurse Practitioner for Sexual Health and Family Planning, and 2 Practice Nurses. We work closely with our District Nursing Team, and allocated Pharmacy Team, Community Link Worker, and Occupational Therapy Team, and we are well supported by our team of 12 administrative staff.
