Job description
LOCUM APPOINTMENT FOR TRAINING (ST4+ level) in EMERGENCY MEDICINE
FIXED TERM POST – 6 Months from February 2026

Applications are invited for a Locum Appointment for Training (ST4+ level) in Emergency Medicine in Ninewells Hospital. Locum Appointments for Training will be assigned a named Consultant Educational Supervisor who can provide advice and support throughout the posting.

Completion of this 6‑month appointment could contribute to Higher Specialty Training (HST), should an Outcome 7.1 be attained at Annual Review of Competence Progression (ARCP) and the candidate subsequently enter HST via National Recruitment. The appointment could potentially be extended to 12 months, the successful candidate may discuss this with the TPD.

The training programme consistently achieves good ratings on the GMC survey with a high number of experienced Supervisors.
