Job summary

A leading legal support provider is looking for legal assistance for 2-6 months, focusing on litigation and commercial tasks. Responsibilities include managing franchise disputes, handling license and procurement contracts, and supporting compliance work. Candidates should have 3+ years PQE, ideally with litigation experience combined with commercial skills. A working pattern of 4 days per week is offered, with an immediate start date.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' Post Qualification Experience (PQE).
  • Preferably a lawyer with a litigation background but with commercial experience.

Responsibilities

  • Handle litigation matters including disputes and contract terminations.
  • Provide commercial support including sales requests and supplier contracts.

We’re working with a major independent food and drink wholesaler, who are in need of legal support for the next 2-6 months whilst they recruit permanently.

The role will involve a blend of litigation and commercial support, including:

Litigation
  • Disputes side with franchisee with network
  • License disputes in network
  • Terminating contracts and bring claim against suppliers
  • Using external counsel for things like debt recovery
Commercial
  • Sales requests
  • General commercial work and supporting with ad-hoc commercial matters
  • Supplier & procurement contracts
  • Some compliance work
What skills are required?
  • 3+ years’ PQE
  • Ideally a lawyer from a litigation background but with commercial experience

Working Pattern: 4 days per week
