The organisation has undergone significant change and growth over the past twelve months and we have ambitious plans for the future which will continue to transform lives.

About The Role

This is a unique chance to shape a brand-new approach to landlord engagement, tenancy sustainment and personalised support helping people take the next step in their housing journey.

As PRS Liaison Worker, You Will
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with PRS landlords, SEALand housing partners
  • Promote HARP's Landlord Assurance Package to increase access to safe, affordable homes
  • Match residents to suitable properties using clear tenancy-readiness criteria
  • Support residents throughout viewings, move-in, and the early stages of their tenancy
  • Provide up to 12 months of light-touch tenancy sustainment support
  • Step in early to resolve issues helping prevent tenancy breakdown
  • Work closely with multi-agency partners including Southend City Council and Greater Change
  • Collect data and insights to support evaluation of this innovative pilot

You will play a key part in reducing homelessness, improving housing outcomes and strengthening relationships within Southend's private rented sector.

We are looking for someone who is
  • Great at building relationships and engaging confidently with landlords
  • Experienced in housing, lettings, or homelessness support (or similar people-focused roles)
  • Skilled at problem solving, negotiating, and responding quickly to emerging issues
  • Knowledgeable about tenancy rights, affordability, and barriers facing people moving on from homelessness
  • Compassionate, professional, and committed to trauma-informed, person-centred practice
  • Organised, resilient, and able to manage a varied workload across multiple properties

If you're passionate about improving housing outcomes and want to help shape a new way of working, we'd love to hear from you.
