A forward-thinking agricultural firm is seeking candidates to join their dairy farming team at Higher Maxworthy Farm. The position offers a chance to gain a Livestock Technician Level 3 qualification with ongoing support and training. Responsibilities include working during spring calving, operating machinery, monitoring livestock, and maintaining records. Candidates must hold a full UK driving license and be willing to work flexible hours in a physically demanding role. Opportunities for permanent employment exist upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Higher Maxworthy Farm is based in Launceston, Cornwall. They have Spring calving grazing herds and a strong focus on cow health, low-cost sustainable, and profitable milk production.Milk going to Arla and Sabuto.
They are forward-thinking and proactive investing in the future.Recent growth and development has included 3 modern dairy units. The most recent being developed in 2017/18.With modern swing over parlors, a network of cow tracks facilitating easy access to grazing. Cows are grazed for 10 months of the year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to grow your career in farming. We are looking for candidates with a full UK driving license who are looking to grow their career in agriculture as there are opportunities for permanent employment. The main duties will include but are not limited to:
Interview will be via 1 day work trial.
You must have a Level 2 in Agriculture or have farming experience.
A full driving licence is essential.
You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship.
As you progress through your apprenticeship your duties and responsibilities will alter as you develop the skills for a successful career in agriculture.
Training will be a mix of face to face and online learning.
You will gain a Livestock Technician Level 3 qualification with further opportunities for training, development and permanent employment upon completion.
This is a physical job within a small team. Activities are carried outside and inside in all weathers. 30 hours per week working 5 in 7 days rota with split shifts, a 1 in 3 working weekend with flexible days off. Hours/days will vary depending on business needs.Please ensure you research the location and transport access prior to applying.
