An educational organization in Rushden is seeking a Learning Mentor and Welfare Support professional to work closely with children and families. The role involves overcoming barriers to learning, facilitating communication between families and school staff, and supporting emotional regulation. The Learning Mentor will assist with improving attendance and safeguarding student welfare within the school environment. This is a full-time position at 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks a year.
The Learning Mentor role involves working closely with children, families, school staff and outside agencies to help overcome barriers to learning and ensure children reach their full potential.
This will involve maintaining regular communication, making referrals, putting interventions in place, and liaising with relevant staff and professionals to enable pupils to fully engage with lessons to become more effective learners, and to improve academic and pastoral progress. The Learning Mentor will play an active role in supporting children with emotional regulation within the school setting. They will also support the Senior Leadership team with improving attendance, carrying out restorative conversations and safeguarding pupils’ welfare.
Salary description: 32.5 hours a week, 38 weeks a year.
