Lead Vulnerability Research Consultant

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucester or Manchester – Hybrid working
Clearance: eDV Security Clearance
Salary - £70,000 – £85,000 + DV bonus + Benefits

Are you driven by curiosity? Do you instinctively take systems apart to understand how they really work? We're partnering with a market-leading national security organisation to hire a Lead Vulnerability Research Consultant who will help shape and secure the technologies that protect the UK.

In this influential role, you’ll lead highly skilled research teams, delve deep into complex systems, and provide expert technical guidance across a wide range of cutting‑edge projects. You’ll work hands‑on to make, break, and assure systems—while also playing a key role in upskilling teams, shaping solution designs, and advising senior stakeholders through workshops, briefings, and technical delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading multidisciplinary teams researching, characterising and deconstructing systems and technologies.
  • Providing deep technical expertise as an SME, guiding design, architecture and implementation decisions.
  • Delivering high‑impact workshops, presentations and hands‑on technical sessions to internal and client stakeholders.
  • Developing and sharing training materials to elevate capability across the organisation.
  • Acting as a trusted consultant, supporting technical assurance and driving secure, robust solutions.

What You’ll Bring
