Qualifications

• Current MA RN Licensure.
• Current AHA BLS or ARC BLS required, NRP required prior to completion of unit orientation.
• Current mother baby/nursery experience required; Level 1B nursery experience strongly preferred.
• IBCLC Certification by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners.

Responsibilities

• Assess and care for the mother through the postpartum periods.
• Educate the maternal newborn dyad from birth to discharge.
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care for mother and newborn.
