Schedule: Days (rotational shift basis that includes weekends)

Shift: 08:00 - 17:00

Hourly Rate: £13.00

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant dedicated to making a difference, regardless of qualifications or experience. You should be adaptable, able to work efficiently in a dynamic environment, with strong communication skills and teamwork abilities. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the kitchen and pantry, organizing supplies, and ensuring smooth operation to meet residents' dietary needs, contributing to their health and wellbeing.

The Role:

• Manage the “Cook Safe” system, adhering to policies for food safety, storage, and hygiene.
• Assist cooks with food preparation, such as sandwiches and salads.
• Prepare vegetables and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Follow Food Safety policies to prevent infection and cross-contamination.
• Keep the kitchen clean and tidy, following cleaning schedules and infection control policies.
• Report faults in catering equipment and kitchen facilities.
• Assist with cleaning equipment and kitchen areas.
• Manage food deliveries, rotate stock, and prevent old stock accumulation.
• Attend mandatory training in Moving and Handling, Food Hygiene, Infection Control, and First Aid.
