A leading technology company in St. Neots seeks a Multidisciplinary Engineer to play a key role in transforming innovative ideas into high-quality products. This position offers hands-on experience in electronics, mechanical design, and software, along with opportunities to collaborate across disciplines. The ideal candidate is adaptable, motivated, and eager to learn, contributing to a dynamic team environment and enhancing product realization efforts.
Location: James House, St Neots, Cambridgeshire (PE19)
Hours: Open to full time and part time (40 hours per week)
As a Multidisciplinary Engineer within Pico Technology’s Product Realisation Team, you’ll be at the heart of turning innovative concepts into high quality, manufacturable products. You’ll gain hands-on experience across electronics, mechanical design, software, and production support, contributing to every stage of product development - from PCB layout and 3D CAD design to prototype testing and supporting the move into full-scale production.
This is a varied role that offers the chance to work closely with experts across the business, develop your skills in multiple engineering disciplines, and play a key part in delivering products known for performance and reliability. It’s an excellent opportunity for an engineer who’s eager to learn, grow, and take on new challenges, while also making a real impact from day one.
We’re seeking someone with a relevant engineering background who’s motivated to build their expertise across different technical areas. This role is ideally suited to engineers who want to broaden their skill set, gain exposure to all aspects of product realisation, and develop in a supportive team environment. Equally, it could be a great fit for someone who has already mastered their craft and wants to use their skills to make a tangible impact across multiple disciplines, contributing to the delivery of innovative, high-quality products. Above all, we’re looking for an adaptable, collaborative engineer with a passion for technology and a hands-on approach to problem solving.
You’ll already have some hands-on experience, whether in PCB design, CAD modelling, or programming and you’ll bring curiosity, problem solving ability, and a practical approach to engineering challenges.
That said, we also welcome applications from more experienced engineers who are excited by the variety this role offers and keen to contribute across disciplines. Most importantly, you’ll be adaptable, collaborative, and passionate about creating high-quality products that push the boundaries of technology.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team where your contributions will directly impact the products we create and the customers we serve. You\'ll have the freedom to innovate, the support to grow professionally, and the chance to work in a culture that values teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement.
