We’re looking for someone with a head for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and the ambition to learn. This role supports the Finance Team with Sales Ledger transactions (sales, receipts and payments allocations) and Purchase Ledger transactions (invoice processing).

What you’ll be doing

On joining, you’ll go through our induction and onboarding process and have opportunities to develop through our in-house training academy. Responsibilities include:

  • Creating/processing sales invoices for the O&M business, and supporting in raising invoices for projects
  • Allocating daily client receipts into the accounting system and project systems (Procore)
  • Debt collection – communicating with customers on invoices due for payment
  • Participating in finance meetings
  • Other ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required
  • Processing purchase/supplier invoices
  • Creating payment batches and issuing remittance advices
  • Accessing supplier online portals for invoice/statement documentation
  • Checking and reconciling supplier statements to internal systems
Requirements

You’ll be a successful Junior Finance Assistant at Sinewave if you’re:

  • Proficient in productivity and collaboration software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams) across multiple devices
  • Excellent communication with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and ability to work collaboratively with prioritisation
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good business awareness
  • Basic knowledge of Xero accounting systems (desirable)
  • Experience with construction industry software is an advantage
  • Compliant with company policies and ethics, including anti-bribery and environmental/quality management

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Desire to start or progress an accounting qualification
  • GCSE/A-Level Maths (or equivalent); degree/finance qualification desirable
  • Previous finance support experience desirable
