Job role: Junior BI Developer
Location: Caerphilly
Basis: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 DOE

BSN Social Care is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior BI Developer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their data career to work alongside our experienced Business Intelligence Manager and contribute to driving data-informed decision-making across the organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of interactive dashboards, reports, and visualisations.
  • Analyse data to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and support existing BI solutions, ensuring performance and reliability.
  • Work closely with our data and business teams to understand and translate data requirements into technical solutions.
  • Document processes and reporting logic for transparency and team knowledge sharing.
  • Keep up-to-date with BI trends, tools, and best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Data, Maths, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 applications, especially Excel.
  • Exposure to SQL, Python, and Power BI is desirable but not essential; we’ll support your development!
  • A logical thinker who loves solving problems and digging deep for insights.
  • A "big picture" mindset; someone who can connect the dots and see how the data fits together.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • A collaborative and open-minded approach; you're not afraid to listen, learn, and adapt.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
