Reports to: IT Manager

Job Summary:

Due to significant growth, Risdons Solicitors are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Specialist to support our IT department in ensuring the smooth operation of daily technology-related tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of computer systems, troubleshooting techniques and excellent communications skills to assist users with hardware, software and network issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to employees (hardware, software, network issues).

Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.

Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including user account setup and access control.

Troubleshoot system and network problems; diagnose and solve hardware or software faults.

Maintain inventory of IT assets, hardware, and software licenses.

Support in data backups, antivirus management, and regular system updates

Assist with maintaining documentation for IT procedures and user guides.

Collaborate with IT team on larger projects and rollouts.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years experience within a similar role of Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Office 365

Familiarity with hardware components and common troubleshooting practices.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks

A team player with a positive and service orientated attitude

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Working Conditions:

Office environment with occasional travel to other locations for support.

May require occasional evening or weekend work for system maintenance.
