IT Business Application Analyst

Location: Telford, Shropshire – hybrid working model with 2–3 days on site per week.
Department: Group IT
Contract Type: Permanent

Main Responsibilities

• Analyse business needs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct fit‑gap analysis and fault diagnosis at a technical level.
• Document business requirements, functional specifications and process flows.
• Support agile methodologies and create project documentation (e.g., WRICEF).
• Collaborate with project leads and cross‑functional teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Configure systems, create and execute test plans and validate solutions.
• Provide hands‑on application support and user training.
• Create knowledge articles and How‑To guides.
• Act as a solution architect and/or application owner, managing the full lifecycle of applications.

Key Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree.
• Languages: English (required); German (beneficial).
• Experience: 3+ years in business/system analysis, IT systems design and project management.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in M365, Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project.
  • Skilled in ITIL, data analysis tools and business process modelling.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative problem‑solving and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships across teams.
• Other Requirements:
  • Full driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel and provide support outside normal business hours if required.
