Medstorm is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic IT Service Desk Apprentice to join us at our Head Office in Castle Donington, Leicestershire/ Derbyshire. In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job
  • Providing 1st line support, including user support, hardware and software support.
  • Administration of online services such as Office 365.
  • Help to provide administration of equipment, forms and asset tracking, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Providing end‑user support and monitoring the IT support emails and tickets raised.
  • Fixing/upgrading business IT hardware to include computers, phones and printers.
  • Mobile device support and administration of mobile devices.
  • Administration of servers/computers, including ensuring systems are fully patched.
  • Administration of anti‑virus software ensuring that all computers are free from viruses and malware.
  • Setting up accounts and equipment for new employees.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
  • Knowledge of computers and an interest in IT equipment/ technology.
  • Basic knowledge of Office 365.
  • Basic Windows knowledge.
  • Basic iOS/ Android knowledge.
  • Flexible attitude with a willingness to support the business if required to accommodate planned or emergency works.
  • Excellent communication skills to deal with people from all areas of the business.
  • Drive, patience and the ability to cope under pressure.
  • Self‑motivated, enthusiastic and keen to learn.
Salary, Hours & Benefits
  • £18,000 per annum.
  • 8:30am‑5pm Monday to Friday (possibility for flexible working hours).
