Job summary

A prominent educational institution in the New Forest area is seeking an Industry Placement Assessor. This is a full-time, term-time role where you'll support Early Childhood and Health Studies students during their mandatory placements. You will provide feedback, support employers, and help students develop. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, relevant qualifications, and ideally experience in the Early Years sector. Salary is competitive, ranging from £24,617 to £33,367 depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • Industry experience in the HSC or Early Years sector is an advantage.
  • Full UK driving licence is required.
  • Teaching qualification or assessor award preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide constructive feedback to learners during visits.
  • Support and advise employers during visits if necessary.
  • Plan and prioritise workload for visits.
  • Make judgements using sector criteria and T Level performance outcomes.
  • Ensure learner progression is recorded and monitored in a timely manner.
  • Report achievements to Subject Leaders and Industry Placement Officer.
  • Work to meet targets for learner retention and achievement.
  • Develop learning resources related to the occupational area.

The Early Childhood and Health Studies Curriculum area is seeking a motivated member to join them as an Industry Placement Assessor to support with industry placement visits to Early Childhood and Health Studies students,on afull- time hours, Term time only, permanentbasis. In return, you will receive a competitive rate of£24,617 - £33,367 depending on experience.

We are a high-achieving college who attract around 2,800 sixth form students across the region each year. We are based within the stunning New Forest National Park and offer our students a huge range of courses and superb facilities.

About the role:

The Industry Placement Assessor, role involves student visits to industry placements, which span geographical areas such as Hythe and Waterside, Lymington, Poole, Brockenhurst and Ringwood. Industry placements are mandatory and contribute to the overall qualification. You will work closely with the current industry placement officer with regards to allocations of visits who will advise of locations and days, and it will be up to you to plan your visits accordingly in the timeframes provided, write reports and liaise with organisations to build positive employer relationships. Industry experience in the HSC or Early Years sector is an advantage, along with a full UK driving licence, assessor award or teaching qualification, however support and training may be provided.
