The Opportunity

As a Laboratory Hygiene Steward, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of our Microbiology, Pathogen, and Media Preparation departments. Your work will support our commitment to quality and compliance with ISO 17025 and the Campden BRI Retailer Supplementary Audit (RSA) Scheme.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness across Microbiology, Pathogen, and Media Preparation departments in line with hygiene schedules and procedures.
• Safely manage waste disposal, including handling infected waste and operating autoclaves and sterilisation equipment.
• Monitor and report cleaning supply levels, ensuring stock rotation and efficient flow of materials.
• Support laboratory operations by assisting with glassware cleaning, media preparation, and equipment maintenance.
• Uphold health and safety standards, promote teamwork, and contribute to a positive and professional working environment.
