Job description

A leading employee-owned food production business in Alness is seeking reliable, hardworking Hygiene Operatives to join the dedicated night shift team.

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the site is thoroughly cleaned and ready for production each morning. If you have a keen eye for detail, a methodical approach and the stamina for physical work, we would love to hear from you.

Pay and benefits

• Competitive Hourly Rate: £12.60 per hour + £2.53 per hour night shift allowance
• Enhanced Overtime Pay: £18.90 per hour + £2.53 per hour night shift allowance
• Holiday Entitlement: 30 days enhanced leave after 12 weeks in post
• Longer Shifts, Fewer Days: 10‑hour shifts (8pm to 6am, 37.52 hours paid per week) mean fewer commutes and more consolidated working hours
• Optional Weekend Overtime: Flexibility to boost your earnings with overtime available depending on production requirements
• Job Stability: Steady hours, initially on an agency contract, with the opportunity to transfer to permanent employment providing standards are met

You will be responsible for:

• Deep cleaning machinery and production areas using chemicals, hoses and other equipment
• Dismantling equipment safely
• Following documented hygiene procedures and schedules
• Maintaining accurate documentation and records
• Physical activity throughout the shift including manual handling and working on your feet
• Following strict health & safety protocols, including escalation of any issues
