Job description

We are excited to be offering a great HR work placement opportunity for a motivated undergraduate undertaking a relevant qualification requiring work experience as part of the course (i.e sandwich degree). This role will be available for a fixed term period of 12 months, starting in the summer of 2026.

The Role

You will join our small, friendly HR team in a real job, providing proactive administrative support, working across all areas of HR including recruitment, onboarding, learning & development and payroll.

Key responsibilities will include uploading vacancies to our careers website, corresponding with applicants via our applicant tracking system, processing pre-employment checks, maintaining accurate records, supporting payroll input, booking development opportunities and other adhoc administration.

Whilst the post holder will play a key role as part of the HR Team, support and guidance will always be available from more experienced colleagues. Opportunities may be available in other corporate services teams during the placement, to facilitate wider learning and to enable the role holder to develop a business understanding which will assist their future studies and career options. To be successful, you must currently be undertaking a relevant qualification requiring a placement year, have excellent organisation, communication and administration skills, be a team player and have a strong eye for detail.

The salary for this role is £25,000p.a. for a 37 hour week.
