Job summary

A respected educational institution is seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Administrator to support staff recruitment, onboarding, and administration across the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR administration, especially within education, and possess strong communication skills. Reports to-Director of People

King’s College School Wimbledon is lookingto appoint a highly organised and proactive HRAdministrator to supportstaffrecruitment, onboarding, and administration across theemployeelifecycle. The role requires excellent attention to detail,strong communicationskills, and a commitment to safeguarding and compliance.

The Human Resources departmentmanagesall aspects of people management to support the school’s overall strategic aims. The department supports the senior and junior schools, Wimbledon Common Prep School (WCPS), KSC Enterprises and King’s International.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Administration & Employee Lifecycle
  • Support staff with general HR queries using the internal ticketing system
  • Process changes to job titles, including approvals, letters, and system updates
  • Support withprovidingemployment references for current and former staff
  • MaintainaccurateanduptodateHRrecords
  • Support with the monthly payroll process
Recruitment &Selection
  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment campaigns fromposition identification through to appointment
  • Work with the HRBPsto agree recruitment timelines, closing dates, and interview schedules with hiring managers
  • Draft recruitment materials;create, upload, andmonitorjob advertisements
  • Manage the recruitment inbox, candidate communications, and application records
  • Prepare andmaintaininterview documentation, panel folders, and candidatecommunications
  • Coordinate interviewlogistics, includingscheduling,roombooking,administering written tasks,facilitatingpositive candidate experience
  • Process post-interview activity, including candidate communications, expenses, references, and social media checks
Onboarding & Pre-Employment Checks
  • Manage end-to-end offer and onboarding process, from verbal offer to start date
  • Draft, issue, and track contracts, coordinating approvals with senior leaders
  • Maintain and update onboarding and staff records onHR systems
  • Verify qualifications, right to work, ID, safeguarding, and other compliance documentation
  • Liaise with candidats toinitiateand monitor DBS, medical, overseas, and other required checks
  • Coordinate ITand siteaccess,safeguarding training, and other induction activities
Training & Compliance
  • Set up and manage mandatory training acrossonlineplatformsand support with the organisation of in-person training
  • Communicate training requirements and track completion,maintainingaccurateanduptodatetraining recordsfor all staff
  • Monitor refresher training schedules,notifyand support staff through to completion of required training
Person Specification:
  • A graduate degree or equivalent professional qualifications
  • Proven experience in HR administration, ideally within education or independent school settings
  • Strongadministrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a face paced environment
  • ExcellentIT skills, including Microsoft Office; experience withHR systems
  • Exceptionalcommunication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability tomaintainconfidentiality and discretionat alltimes
  • Strongattention to detailand accuracy in record-keeping
  • Commitment to safeguarding and compliance
Terms and Conditions
  • Start date: as soon as possible
  • Starting salary: £32,000 - £33,500 per annum
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm
  • This is a full time, all year-round position
