Responsibilities

  • Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards, including weekly and periodic tasks
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health guidelines (COSHH)
  • Be fully knowledgeable of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents, and use equipment as directed by theावर Manager after correct training
  • Report immediately any faulty equipment, mark it as faulty and refrain from using it
  • Use appropriate safety signage at all times (e.g., wet‑floor signs) and warn customers where possible
  • Keep cleaning stores clean and tidy, and store equipment correctly and safely
  • Be knowledgeable about biohazard/blood, faeces or vomit cleaning, and recognize infectious disease risks (e.g., hepatitis, HIV)
  • Comply with all security regulations for cleaning materials, equipment and buildings as laid down by the client and Mount Charles

Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day‑to‑day basis.
