Job description

A vacancy has arisen within our Hosting and Security Team for an experienced, enthusiastic, and flexible Hosting and Security Team Leader, with the aim of helping to ensure that Durham County Council provides secure, robust systems for our staff and customers to safely use.

What is involved?
  • Management трех resources.
  • Project and change management.
  • Undertaking responsibility for the daily operations and provision of expert advice and consultancy knowledge.
  • Staff development and training.
  • Assisting with development/implementation of business continuity/disaster recovery plans.
  • <-f>嘉? Contributing to strategy development and forward planning.
  • Contributing to development of policies and procedures to support operational requirements.
  • Participation in cross-service/corporate groups.
  • Contributing to security and risk management.

The role will also help shape the Team’s future plans and direction.

We are looking for an individual who has experience of participating in services provision and support as well as new projects, both individually and as part of a team. Applicants should demonstrate good communications skills to help deliver excellent, secure solutions and outcomes, by liaising with stakeholders, suppliers, or customers.

What will I need?

You will need a degree or professional qualification such as MCSE, MCD, MCT, CCNA, CCIE or equivalent.

Interviews

Interviews will be held on 16 and 17 February 2026.
