Job summary

A leading regional transport company based in Norwich seeks an experienced HGV Technician to maintain and repair their fleet of vehicles. The role offers a competitive salary of £40,801.34 per annum for 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Responsibilities include servicing vehicles, ensuring compliance with DVSA standards, and participating in an out of hours rota. The candidate must possess the necessary qualifications and a valid UK driving licence. Benefits include annual leave, a pension scheme, and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving licence required, preferably with CAT C Licence.
  • Proven experience within a commercial workshop environment.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair a range of vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and repair LGV/LCV vehicles according to DVSA standards.
  • Prepare vehicles for annual tests and conduct road tests.
  • Participate in out of hours rota for breakdowns.

Skills

Experience in servicing and maintaining vehicles
Knowledge of Health and Safety practices
Working knowledge of vehicle parts

Education

City & Guilds certificate in Motor Vehicle Craft Studies or NVQ equivalent
IRTEC certificate of competence (desirable)
