Qualifications

  • Qualified HGV Technician with relevant certifications.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining LCVs & HGVs.
  • Valid and clean driving license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and vans to DVSA standards.
  • Conduct diagnostics and fix mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with DVSA standards and health & safety requirements.

Salary: From £18.63 an hour | Location: Alfreton | Contract type: Full Time, Permanent | Hours: 40 hours a week

The Challenge
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of trucks and vans to DVSA standards.
  • Perform diagnostics to identify faults佩and fix mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Ensure all vehicles meet DVSA standards and health & safety requirements.
  • Keep up to date with all relevant DVSA & product developments.
  • Be receptive to training and participate in ongoing development and continuous improvement.
  • Support and mentor our apprentices.
  • Complete work directed by the Shift Supervisor, Workshop Controller or Dealer Point Manager.
  • The Day to Day
    • Mon–Fri: 06:00 – 15:00
    • Late: Mon–Fri: 15:00 – 00:00, Sat: 08:00 – 12:30
    What we’re looking for
    • Qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds level 3, NVQ level 3, or equivalent).
    • Efficient and neat technician with proven experience in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining LCVs & HGVs.
    • Your own set of tools (allowance provided).
    • Valid and clean текстаL; driving licence.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Problem‑solving mindset with can‑do attitude.

    You’ll really hit the ground running if you have
    • Experience with a Renault Trucks or Isuzu Trucks Dealership.
