About The Role

CareerMakers Recruitment is currently looking for reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for ongoing general haulage work across Trafford Park. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long‑term work with immediate starts and regular shift patterns.

You’ll be representing reputable logistics and distribution companies operating in a professional environment with clean, modern vehicles and structured routes. For the right candidates, there is also potential to progress into a permanent position with one of our established clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily operation of HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles for deliveries and collections
• Completing multi‑drop or trunking assignments, often palletised via tail lift or forklift
• Ensuring safe and efficient delivery of goods to commercial sites and depots
• Carrying out vehicle checks and completing all necessary documentation
• Interacting professionally with customers and site personnel
• Adhering to all road transport laws and company procedures

Requirements

• A valid UK HGV Class 2 Licence (Category C)
• CPC Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Ideally 2 years of Class 2 driving experience; exceptions may be considered for the right candidate
• A good understanding of UK road networks and regulations
• A strong work ethic, good timekeeping, and positive attitude
• A willingness to adapt to different routes and client requirements

Pay & Benefits

• £14.50‑£16.25 per hour (PAYE) depending on shift and client
• Overtime rates: £16.00‑£18.00 per hour after standard hours
• Weekly pay every Friday
