  • Helping with surveys, feedback, and child voice.

Overview

Hertfordshire Family Support Service are looking for Volunteers across a variety of roles and locations to support the service lead by One YMCA. The Universal, SEND and Emerging Needs Activity Volunteer plays a key role in supporting the team in their work with offering courses, family activities to parents, carers, families and children (0-5 years). We are looking for friendly, hands on individuals who are interested in early years, to welcome families, support the engagement of both parent and child with all the activities we provide in the sessions, promoting children's development and positive feedback and praise indoor and outdoor group activities.

Location & Schedule

Role based in Hertsmere across Potters Bar and Shenley.

Days / Times

  • Tuesday 10-11.30am Baby Group 96 Shenley Road
  • Tuesday 13-14.30pm Baby Group Furzefield Family Centre
  • Wednesday 10-11.30am Stay&Play PB1 Family Centre

Session Descriptions

Baby Group (pre-walkers)

Meet other families with young babies and the Family Support Team in a friendly environment. During this session there will be time to play and discover more about your baby’s development as well as support your wellbeing as a new parent. Drop in, no booking required!

Stay and Play (0-5 years) - Little Herts Session

A fun session with various activities and resources for children. There's a special area for babies with family support staff available to help, plus the chance to socialise with other parents and carers. Siblings welcome. Drop in, no booking required!
