Purpose of Role

We are looking for a Senior Facilities Helpdesk Coordinator on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support our helpdesk function in Denton.

Job Description

This is a facilities maintenance–focused helpdesk role, supporting the coordination of reactive and planned maintenance requests and providing leadership to the helpdesk function. This position is ideal for someone with helpdesk experience who is looking to step into a supervisory or lead role.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the helpdesk team, providing guidance, coaching, and operational support
  • Oversee the logging, allocation, and monitoring of reactive and planned maintenance work orders
  • Raise and chase updates on work orders to ensure timely completion and SLA compliance
  • Work with internal teams and subcontractors to maintain smooth service delivery
  • Monitor and report on helpdesk performance and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support general administrative tasks and maintain accurate records within CAFM systems and online portals
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, policies, and health & safety requirements
Essential Qualifications/Skills
  • Previous experience in a helpdesk environment, ideally having supervised or led a team
  • Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and online portals
  • Experience with CAFM systems such as Maximo is desirable
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills
  • Motivated to progress into a management role within helpdesk operations
  • All training will be provided
