A fantastic opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and dynamic health care assistant to join our join our expanding ambulatory integrated clinic service.

Clinic locations citywide providing care to ambulatory patients in clinic settings with referrals from primary care and LCH neighbourhood teams.

We will support you with a fully tailored induction programme and will encourage and facilitate on-going development, including the opportunity to develop and learn skills from team members.

You will be resilient, motivated, and adaptable to work in a clinic setting, with a passion for wound care and providing the best possible care for the patients of Leeds.

The service runs Monday to Friday, we are looking for fulltime and part time staff (minimum of 3 days a week). We can offer flexible working on days worked if part time and shifts available are 8-4 or 10-6pm (location dependent). You will be asked to cover more than one clinic location weekly and you will be required to provide annual leave and sickness cover at other locations around the city for service needs.

Provide clinical treatment in a clinic setting working solo but will have access to registered clinicians for advice via MS teams or phone

Your duties will include:
  • Wounds, Catheter Care and injections within your scope of practice
  • Managing patients in a clinic setting following health and safety, risk assessments and carrying out moving and handling techniques if required.
  • Complete clinical training needs and development, statutory and mandatory training and in service training.
  • Attend clinical supervision regularly
  • Managing your clinic diary
  • Provide advice to administration, as well as patients/relatives/carers.
  • Promote self-management where indicated for the patient
Main duties of the job

Provide holistic care for our patients. You will work closely with colleagues in Citywide Services, Falls, Continence, Urology and Colorectal Care and Palliative and End of Life Care teams and GP services to co-ordinate the best care for patients. Great communication skills and maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out procedures. Provide person centred care, helping patients to reach their goals and promoting self-management. You will be resilient, motivated, and adaptable to working in an ever-changing environment, a passion for providing the best possible care. Ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, you will motivate colleagues, champion service user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement.
