Job description
We are currently looking for a Healthcare and Pharma Project Manager to join our growing team in Heywood on a permanent contract.

The Healthcare and Pharma Project Manager will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of clean air and containment projects within healthcare environments — including hospitals, laboratories, and pharmaceutical facilities. This role involves overseeing all aspects of project delivery, from design and planning through to installation, commissioning, and handover.

This is a full-time and permanent role.

Location

Our clean, bright 63,000 sq. ft. site in Heywood, Lancashire is the largest containment factory in the North West, just minutes from the M66 and M62. We have invested £1m in our facility, with state-of-the-art machinery and excellent staff facilities including showers, canteen and plenty of on-site parking.

Your Role

As our Healthcare and Pharma Project Manager, your role will include:

  • Day to day management of orders/projects from receipt of order through to handover to the client
  • Liaising with our engineering department for development of final manufacturing drawings
  • Liaising with our production department and with field installation department
  • Preparation of risk assessments, method statements and responsible for site teams’ health and safety
  • Management of final documentation, certification, manuals, etc
  • Developing the initial scope of work for the projects, working with the client and internal production/engineering teams to clearly define the requirements, project costs and resources
  • Coordinating the site management activities including management of construction, documentation, scheduling and management of all site visits in line with the agreed client contract requirements
  • Proactively interfacing with the installation team and the client to manage the project and develop solutions to issues and challenges which arise
  • Providing engineering expertise for the construction team and always ensure compliance with company governance guidelines
  • Coordinating the daily operations of the construction team, including definition of the project timelines and management of project meetings
  • Ensuring delivery of project milestones by the construction team proactively addressing deficiencies/deviations, including the regular review potential overruns and the proposal/implementation of cost-effective solutions/mitigation strategies as required
  • Preparing weekly/monthly report information for the client as required
  • Developing and maintaining strong, positive relationships with clients and key internal stakeholders to clearly understand the business processes and the short- and long-term project objectives
  • Identifying areas of best practice and contribute to activities to improve and maintain the quality and effectiveness of processes and activities across the project teams
  • Maintaining knowledge of all relevant processes and procedures to ensure appropriate compliance with any regulatory requirements
  • Managing and controlling allocated budget spend for the areas of responsibilities within this role
About You

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Experience of managing projects in healthcare, cleanroom or containment environments
  • Experience of project management from receipt of order through to installation
  • Ability to lead and influence in a fast paced and collaborative environment
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Proven ability to lead projects, motivate and manage others
  • Excellent presentation skills, with solid oral and written communication capabilities
  • A confident, motivated self-starter who will thrive on a high degree of autonomy
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel with occasional overnight stays
