We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Administrator to join our team in Armagh!

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:30

Location: Armagh (with travel to sites as required)

Job Summary:

Tarasis Enterprises is offering a unique opportunity for a motivated and proactive individual to develop a long-term career in Health & Safety within an established and growing business.

This role is ideal for someone who may not yet be an expert in health and safety but has strong potential, the right attitude, and a genuine desire to learn and progress. Working closely alongside the Health & Safety Manager, the successful candidate will receive hands‑on experience, mentoring, and support, with a clear long‑term objective of progressing into a Health & Safety Manager role.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Health & Safety Manager, the Health & Safety Administrator will:

  • Provide practical, hands‑on support, advice, and guidance to ensure health, safety, and welfare standards are maintained across all sites.
  • Monitor compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and assist in the development and implementation of effective control measures, processes, and systems.
  • Assist with the investigation and reporting of accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and supporting the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Support the development, review, and updating of:
  • COSHH Assessments
  • Safe Systems of Work
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and visits to monitor compliance and promote best practice.
  • Travel between sites as required to support operational teams.
  • Build strong working relationships at all levels to promote a positive health and safety culture and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of internal training, including toolbox talks, safety briefings, and safety alerts.
  • Support health and safety compliance for future projects and business growth.
  • Keep up to date with health and safety legislation, guidance, and best practice.
What We're Looking For:
  • Excellent administration and analysis skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Experience in the care, housing, or similar regulated sector
  • Eager to learn, develop, and progress within a health and safety career
  • Willingness to travel between sites (Full Driving Licence essential)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in a health and safety‑related role
  • Relevant health and safety training or qualifications (or willingness to work towards them)
  • Practical operational experience will also be considered
