Job summary

Our Health Care Assistants support people to live their best lives, whatever that looks like to them. No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • supporting people with their personal care
  • assisting people at meal times
  • understanding individual health and wellbeing needs
  • encouraging and supporting people to take part in social activities, both in and out of the home
  • promoting choice, dignity, independence and respect
  • completing and maintaining care records

Location details

Adswood Lodge is a short drive from junction 1 of the M60 and other major roads including Wellington Road S and Buxton Road.

There's limited parking at the front of the building. The main car park is accessed via Lorne Grove.

To get to the car park from the home, head west on Adswood Lane West towards Warren Road. Turn right onto Shaw Road and then right onto Lorne Grove. The car park is at the end of the street.

Public transport to Adswood Lodge

The home is a short walk from several bus stops.

  • Shaw Road South bus stop (stop ID: MANJATJT), which is accessed by bus 313.
  • Range Road bus stop (stop ID: MANJATJP), which is accessed by bus 374.
  • Bramhall Lane (Stop B) bus stop (stop ID: MANJMATG), which is accessed by buses 192, 199 skyline and 385.

There are two train stations in the local area.

  • Stockport - 0.8 miles away (18 minute walk).
  • Davenport - 0.6 miles away (14 minute walk).
