Location: Head Office, near Lincoln

Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience + Car Allowance

About the Role

Gelder Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Health & Safety Co‑Ordinator to join our team, based at our Head Office near Lincoln. This is a pivotal position providing health and safety support across all divisions of the business – Insurance Repair & Renovation, Commercial (including New Builds), and Facilities, Repairs & Maintenance (FRM).

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a positive health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with current legislation, and supporting management in maintaining safe systems of work throughout the organisation. This role requires regular travel to our regional offices in Barlborough and Lichfield, as well as various project sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide competent and professional health and safety advice to management and operational teams.
  • Prepare, review, and implement Construction Phase Plans in line with CDM Regulations.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections, producing clear reports and recommendations.
  • Support the development and delivery of training, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
  • Assist in the investigation of incidents and near misses, ensuring appropriate actions are implemented.
  • Maintain and update company health and safety policies, procedures, and records.
  • Liaise effectively with internal colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Candidate Requirements
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or an equivalent Level 3 Health & Safety qualification (essential).
  • Previous experience within a construction or property services environment.
  • Strong understanding of current health and safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, with a professional and calm approach.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to company sites and regional offices as required.
