Head of Risk, Compliance, Procurement & Property Management

Base pay range: £50,000 - £80,000

Location: Hybrid, Tangmere, West Sussex

Responsibilities
  • Lead investigations into stolen vehicles and insurance disputes
  • Ensure GDPR and data compliance across operations
  • Handle safeguarding concerns and liaise with police, insurers, and regulators
  • Review and manage contracts, vehicle purchase agreements, and internal legal documents
  • Maintain legal separation across entities to minimise liability and tax crossover
  • Ensure US entity compliance with state‑specific requirements
  • Audit all US legal documents to ensure clear separation, responsibilities, and protection
  • Oversee property operations and PAT testing
  • Create workflows for verifying vehicle ownership, identifying title fraud, and collecting the right documents
  • Ensure every purchase is backed by bullet‑proof verification
  • Innovate beyond traditional bank transfers to enhance seller convenience, test new payment methods, and reduce cancellations and friction in the transaction process
  • Replace outdated CRM tools with efficient, structured solutions, and improve tracking, hand‑over and relationship management across teams
  • Ensure full self‑sufficiency and long‑term compliance with operator’s licence
  • Manage access to sensitive data and pricing tools, monitor systems for suspicious activity, and enforce strong encryption policies
  • Negotiate best value from our suppliers and regularly review service providers to ensure operational efficiency
Qualifications
  • Solid experience in risk, compliance, legal or procurement roles
  • Understanding of both UK and US legal and operational landscapes
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Experience handling legal documentation, safeguarding concerns, and data protection
  • Confidence dealing with stakeholders at all levels – from suppliers to regulators
  • A methodical, strategic mindset with an eye for both detail and big‑picture risk
