Eden Veterinary Centre is a small animal practice located in Carlisle, complemented by Border Vets – a mixed practice in Longtown. The team values inclusive, fun and supportive attitudes, treating clients’ pets as if they are our own and striving for clinical excellence.

Our team includes 9 vets, 8 registered veterinary nurses, 1 student nurse, 1 animal care assistant, a Director and skilled receptionists. We offer robust professional development and are a nurse‑training practice.

The new premises (opening Q1 2026) include purpose‑designed operating theatres, advanced imaging, a full Idexx laboratory and an in‑house cytology capacity.

Role

This is an ideal position for an enthusiastic new graduate to learn and grow. The role is a 40‑hour week, starting with five days per week and progressing to a four‑day week with OOH duties. Out‑of‑hours includes a 1‑in‑4 weekend shift and one weeknight on‑call.

The training pathway involves shadowing, supported surgeries, consults and occasional farm visits. You will be guided by experienced GDP advisors and a supportive nursing team.
