Role Description

Our graduate GROW programme is a structured 3‑year programme designed to help you evolve and develop skills to become an experienced professional in your chosen field. You’ll benefit from training and development, mentoring, and assistance for accreditations relevant to your programme, as well as the support and guidance you need to develop and succeed. As a GROW graduate you will be empowered to drive your career and will be exposed to a variety of experiences to assist you in gaining the skills you require to succeed.

As an engineer joining GROW, you will specialise within your chosen discipline of engineering and be given the appropriate experiences to become a technical expert. Role Accountabilities

Arcadis has been at the forefront of geotechnical and ground engineering since 1888. Our geotechnical teams are involved in high‑profile projects in the UK and globally, including High Speed 2, London Bridge Station, Lower Thames Crossing and Ontario Line. We work across sectors such as Rail, Highways, Water and Energy.

• Assist in the delivery of foundation, retaining wall, ground improvement and earthworks designs.
• Undertake desk studies, specify and scope intrusive ground investigations.
• Produce interpretive reports, geotechnical designs and recommendations for a variety of geotechnical design solutions.
• Use innovative digital tools for producing accurate ground models and for analysis of geotechnical problems and design development.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree: BEng, BSc, MEng or MSc in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or related discipline.
• Graduating in 2026 or a recent graduate with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master’s or bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated Arcadian skills: resilience, creativity, analytical thinking, team player.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and consult stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required (virtual working embraced where possible).
