A leading energy technology organization is seeking a Graduate Diagnostic Engineer to support the integration of diagnostic systems. This role includes responsibilities like creating design solutions, performing engineering calculations, and overseeing assembly activities. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Science or Engineering with confidence in Microsoft applications. As a Graduate Diagnostic Engineer, you will join the Sensors & Control Unit within the Plasma Science & Operations Division, supporting the engineering and integration of diagnostic systems across UKAEA and for national and international partners. You will create innovative design solutions for complex diagnostic and fusion systems, perform engineering calculations to inform design decisions, plan and manage system or component repairs, upgrades, and replacements, produce high-quality technical reports, and ensure compliance with relevant design standards.
As part of the 20% dedicated to training and development, you will complete a core suite of activities aimed at enhancing your professional and business skills, with flexibility to tailor the programme to both your personal development and the needs of your specific role.
