Are you a seasoned sales professional passionate about driving growth in the Global Transaction Services (GTS) sector? DBS is looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to join our London team as a Senior Vice President or Vice President in GTS Sales. This role offers the exciting opportunity to significantly impact our franchise and earnings by strategically expanding our International Cash Management and Trade Finance products and services.

The client base will be determined by the candidate's proven skillset, with the flexibility to focus on either Financial Institutions or Corporate sectors.

About the Role

As a key member of our GTS team, you will be instrumental in acquiring "new to DBS" business, nurturing existing client relationships, and driving revenue growth. You will leverage your expertise across a comprehensive suite of cash management, trade finance, and treasury services to originate, develop, and execute innovative transaction banking solutions. Your client focus can be tailored to either Financial Institutions or Corporate sectors based on your proven skillset.

This position involves complex transactions, potentially utilising new or developing products, and a strong emphasis on identifying and promoting cross‑border business development opportunities, particularly within DBS’s growth markets. You will work closely with Relationship Managers in London and our regional network to establish strong, long‑term relationships and ensure sustainable new income streams. A core focus will be on delivering Cash Management and Trade Finance solutions that align with DBS' Asia strategy, serving our European customers across the bank's network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sales & Revenue Generation: Drive "new to DBS" business through the strategic sale of International Cash Management and Trade Finance products, aiming to achieve revenue goals and new customer acquisition targets.
  • Client Engagement & Business Growth: Proactively develop GTS account plans with Relationship Managers, conduct joint marketing calls, and deepen client relationships to maximise wallet share and facility utilisation.
  • Deal Structuring & Risk Management: Structure complex trade deals, communicate implications and risks to both the bank and clients, and provide solutions for intricate commercial decisions while paying close attention to operational, regulatory, legal, fraud, KYC, and AML risks.
  • Sales & Advisory: Execute active marketing programs, provide ongoing service for day‑to‑day trade requirements, and offer expert trade advisory, especially for International Cross Border Bankers Guarantees and Export Letters of Credit Confirmation and Negotiation.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Maintain sales pipeline reports, document client contacts, and collaborate closely with GTS and Trade Operations for seamless transaction execution. Partner with all product teams for effective cross‑selling and stay informed of the competitive environment.
  • Regional Liaison: Act as the primary GTS liaison to Asia for operational, technical, product, and client needs, including product development, governance, training, marketing, and compliance.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in Transaction Banking with a strong track record in client calling, account management, and sales.
  • Expertise: Ability to structure deals in both cash and trade, with a deep understanding of the responsibilities of a corporate Treasurer and the functions of a CFO’s/Treasurer's office.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, excellent sales abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively across functions in a banking environment.
  • Knowledge: Awareness of complex and changing foreign exchange regulations, particularly in India, China, and Indonesia, impacting cross‑border trade, and a full understanding of GTS operations and processes.
