Global Sourcing UK - Senior Business Development Manager page is loaded## Global Sourcing UK - Senior Business Development Managerlocations: Hayes - Officetime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR-0000006558**Global Sourcing UK - Senior Business Development Manager****Full Time Permanent****UK****The Role**As Senior Business Development Manager, your primary role is to understand and meet customer needs in the sale of pharmaceutical goods with a view to maximising the volume of sales to customers whilst maintaining long term customer & supplier relationships. You will be responsible for developing new and existing relationships with key manufacturers and customers globally. You will manage the researching of new suppliers to assist with the Commercial Development opportunities throughout the International Division and support the business. Your role requires the highest degree of integrity, diligence, and attention to detail. You will take guidance from and follow instructions given by your line manager ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and company policies.**Key Responsibilities**:* Identify and target Manufacturers for future partnerships.* Develop a network of contacts to attract new clients, identify and research new market opportunities and oversee growth projects.* Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.* Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.* Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organisation.* Research and build relationships with new clients.* Plan approaches and pitches.* Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.* Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities;*** To champion and promote the business in internal and external marketplaces.* To thoroughly understand the commercial aspect and nuances of the different marketplaces in which the business operates.* Working closely with senior management and the sales team to form an integral part in shaping and developing the business moving forwards.* Informing the Responsible Person of any unusual offers from suppliers such as unusually cheap prices and/or unusually large quantities. Managing the Sales Order Process, Creating Sales Orders, communicating with customers requesting a return and notifying warehouse staff if a return is required.* Have a clear understanding of the responsibilities and duties of the Responsible Person in relation to your job role.* Record any Customer Complaints received and forward the information to the Quality Assurance Department for investigation.* Inform the Responsible Person of any reports of adverse drug reactions. Maintain your training record and ensure training for your job role is completed as identified on the Training Matrix.* Identify any deviations from approved procedures and inform management.* Completing and correcting GDP documents as per procedure to maintain data integrity.* Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships.* Other Ad hoc duties as required.**Qualifications and Experience:*** Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills* Excellent negotiation skills and a high level of emotional intelligence.* Technical and Market knowledge, being able to discuss the customers technical and logistical requirements in some depth and provide resolutions to queries.* The ability to analyse processes and information accurately, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies.* Commitment to providing exceptional service to customers and support to staff members.* A degree in a business or science-related subject (highly desirable).* Experience with stock management software (desirable)* Experience working in a regulated environment (desirable)* Have excellent project planning skills and be competent in financial modelling to support bid activity.* Extensive Experience and Proven Track Record in a Similar Field Required.**Additional Information:*** Hybrid working arrangement available.* Occasional travel within the UK and internationally will be required.**#1 Top Workplace in the area.**
