Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) is a globally recognised centre of excellence for teaching and research in tropical diseases. We are now seeking to appoint a Global Safeguarding Manager to provide strategic leadership and direction for safeguarding across LSTM and its international hubs. This is a pivotal role in shaping and embedding a safe and respectful environment for research participants, community members, staff, students, and partners. As the Designated Safeguarding Lead for LSTM and its subsidiary companies, you will play a central part in developing, implementing, and maintaining organisational systems that protect children and adults at risk from harm.
Working closely with the Pro Vice Chancellor for Research Culture and Integrity and the Strategic Safeguarding Oversight Committee (SSOC), the postholder will ensure strong governance, effective safeguarding processes, and a positive safeguarding culture across all areas of LSTM’s work.
