Location: Portland House, Carver Drive, Marple, Stockport, Cheshire, SK6 7QG

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Hours: 15 hours per week

Department: Health and Social Care (Qualified and Non-Qualified)

Operation: Sanctuary Supported Living

Shifts: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – 9:30 am to 2:30 pm (3 weeks); Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday – 9:30 am to 2:30 pm (1 week)

About the Role

Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Cleaner at our Retirement Communities service, Portland House in Stockport.

We specialise in delivering a wide range of personalised housing, care, and support services to help people across England to live as independently as possible. We’re a national, not‑for‑profit organisation committed to putting our customers at the heart of what we do.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake general duties such as maintaining cleanliness of all communal areas, offices, and the kitchen
• Ensure all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard
• Identify and report potential faults and hazards to maintain a safe environment
• Maintain stock levels, restock as required, and use equipment in line with guidance notes
• Help prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards, and ensuring the needs of customers are met
• Ensure customers’ privacy and dignity are maintained and respected

Skills and Experience

• Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties desirable
• Some experience in a domestic/catering environment
• Level 2 diploma in housekeeping/catering, or willingness to work towards
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills
• General understanding of health and safety in the workplace
