We are seeking a highly professional, organised, and friendly front of house receptionist to be the first point of contact for our company. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a welcoming demeanour, and the ability to manage a busy reception area efficiently. This role is crucial in creating a positive first impression for all visitors and callers.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting and Welcoming: Warmly greet and welcome all guests, clients, vendors, and job applicants, ensuring a professional and positive experience.
- Visitor Management: Manage the visitor log/system (e.g., sign‑in/out, badge issuance) and notify employees of their guests' arrival promptly.
- Answering and Directing Calls: Professionally answer, screen, and direct all incoming phone calls to the appropriate employee or department.
- Lobby Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of the reception area and common spaces (e.g., meeting rooms).
Administrative and Office Support
- Mail and Deliveries: Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail, courier packages, and deliveries. Prepare outgoing mail and shipments.
- Scheduling: Assist with scheduling and coordinating meeting room bookings, ensuring they are prepared and cleared after use.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Proven experience (e.g., 1‑3 years) working as a receptionist, front office representative, or in a similar customer-facing role.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with multi‑line phone systems and office equipment.
- Professionalism: A professional and polished appearance with an enthusiastic and courteous attitude.
Working Hours and Environment
- Various shifts available in core hours of 08:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday only.
- Location: Close to Camden / Central North West London, close to transport links.
