Job summary

A training provider is seeking a Freelance Paediatric First Aid Trainer based in Liverpool. This role involves delivering high-quality first aid courses, engaging learners with a learner-centric approach, and providing tailored support throughout the training process. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 Assessing qualification, with experience in Early Years preferred. The position offers a pay rate of £200 per day, and you'll work on specified dates in January, providing a flexible working environment.

The Role

As a Freelance Paediatric First Aid Trainer, you will take ownership of the full learner journey, delivering exceptional training that engages, progresses and retains learners in line with our curriculum and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality first aid and specialist courses, equipping learners with vital, real‑world skills.
  • Engage learners and employers, providing the best possible onboarding experience and preparing them for their learning journey.
  • Use initial assessment results to establish every learner’s starting point, providing tailored support throughout their programme.
  • Actively prepare and plan for each learning interaction, documenting attendance and reflective learning to evidence progress.
  • Provide meaningful developmental feedback, supporting learners to improve, gain confidence and achieve.
  • Monitor learner enrolments, registrations, progression and completion using MI data, ensuring that every learner is supported from start to finish.
  • Offer clear, helpful information, advice and guidance on next steps, supporting learners to further their qualifications and career opportunities.
  • Celebrate achievements and promote additional learning opportunities available through Realise.
Where will I be based and when?
  • Wednesday 14th January – 10:00am to 4:30pm
  • Saturday 17th January – 10:00am to 4:30pm
  • Tuesday 20th January – 10:00am to 4:30pm
  • Saturday 24th January – 10:00am to 4:30pm
  • Thursday 29th January – 10:00am to 4:30pm
About You
  • Level 3 Assessing qualification (essential)
  • Experience within Early Years (advantageous)
  • Level 3 Paediatric First Aid qualification (advantageous but not essential)
  • An experienced, engaging trainer with the ability to motivate and inspire learners
  • Passionate about delivering interactive, high‑quality training
  • Learner‑centric mindset with a commitment to positive outcomes
  • Able to work independently, manage your own workload and prioritise effectively
  • Confident using IT systems and digital platforms to support training delivery and administration
