With growing numbers taking MFL GCSE's Ebbsfleet Academy is seeking a Foreign Language Assistant that can support with two out of three of the Language GCSE's that we offer; French, Spanish and German. Our newly appointed Foreign Language Assistant will be required to work with individuals and small groups of GCSE students, ensuring that they are exposed to a high‑quality of spoken and written language. Our successful candidate will work with and support students in preparation for their GCSEs and A‑Levels and will have excellent subject knowledge, be organised and ideally be experienced with the AQA GCSE and A‑Level specifications.

Foreign Language Assistants play a crucial role in promoting and supporting the creation of an environment that enriches and enlivens the students’ language studies by engaging each student in spoken and occasional written activities. It is the Department's belief that these activities are most effective and enjoyable when they are supported and developed by individuals who are passionate and understand the culture, traditions and current affairs of the countries in which the language is spoken.

This position is ideal for those seeking to embark on teacher training, as this role offers first‑hand experience and exposure to the modern foreign languages curriculum, classroom teaching and the opportunity of working directly with our teaching staff.
