About the role

Asthon A/S is a leading manufacturing company in Telford looking for a Flexographic Printer. This is a temporary ongoing position that may lead to permanent for the right person.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the machine is set up correctly, operate and maintain a flexographic printing press.
• Mix inks and adjust the speed of the presses.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures.
• Monitor the SAP computer system to ensure the machine plan is followed.
• Read and follow instructions, ensuring the machine is fed with correct materials.
• Maintain good housekeeping and effective planning to prevent machine downtime.
• Keep materials at the machine readily available.
• Complete all required documentation, handover book, and verbal communication between shifts.
• Follow tasks assigned by full‑time staff.
• Report all machine faults as they occur.
• Carry out ad‑hoc tasks as required by management.

Requirements

• Experience within flexographic printing.
• Accountability and ability to run & set up the machine to match job specifications.
• Good communication and handover skills.

Offer details

• Temporary ongoing position, potential permanent.
• Basic hourly rate of £14 per hour, subject to increase after probation.
• Overtime: x1.5 for Saturdays, double time for Sundays.
• Panama shift – 2‑week rotating pattern (4 days‑1 week, 3 days‑next week, 4 nights‑1 week, 3 nights‑next).
• Free parking.
