We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Crime Operations Officer to join our team and play a key role in safeguarding our organisation from financial crime risks. What you’ll be doing
  • Investigating unusual & suspicious activity reports and escalating concerns to the Group’s Nominated Officer where appropriate.
  • Responding to data requests from law enforcement and other third parties.
  • Conducting customer due diligence and ongoing monitoring for higher-risk customers.
  • Reviewing transactions and identifying indicators of suspicious activity.
  • Supporting business areas in understanding their financial crime responsibilities.
  • Designing and delivering tailored financial crime awareness training.

You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement and help ensure our policies and practices align with regulatory expectations.

What you’ll bring
  • Has experience working in a financial crime function, ideally within financial services.
  • Understands the UK’s financial crime legal and regulatory framework.
  • Has hands-on experience with customer screening, transaction monitoring, and investigating SARs.
  • Is a logical thinker with strong attention to detail.
  • Commun clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally.
  • Can work independently and manage their own workload effectively.

Bonus points if you hold an industry-recognised financial crime qualification—but it’s not essential.

How we work

The Financial Crime Operations team work on a flexible shift pattern within the hours of Monday - Friday 8.00am -6.00pm, Saturday 9.00am - 6.00pm and Sunday 10.00am - 5.00pm, 35 hours per week. We are a hybrid working business, the role can be based in either Solihull or Cardiff and we work to 50% office attendance.
