Overview

Job summary

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Financial Controller to lead and strengthen BrisDoc's finance function ensuring we remain a financially sustainable, forward-thinking, and values-led healthcare organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping BrisDoc's financial strategy, governance, and operational performance. You'll work closely with the Commercial & Finance Director and the Leadership Team, providing trusted financial insight, driving improvement, and helping ensure our resources deliver the greatest possible benefit to patients, people, and communities. Main duties of the job

As Financial Controller, you'll oversee all aspects of BrisDoc's financial management -- leading a talented team and ensuring robust financial governance, accurate reporting, and strategic insight that supports the organisation's mission and long-term success. You'll act as both a hands-on technical expert and a trusted strategic partner, providing high-quality financial information to support decision-making across all levels of the organisation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Leadership and Oversight Lead the finance function, ensuring strong financial control, compliance, and effective management of all core accounting activities including: general ledger, feeder systems, and reporting.
  • Strategic Financial Management Work closely with the Leadership Team to provide financial insight, analysis, and scenario modelling to inform strategic and operational decision-making. Lead annual budgeting and long-term forecasting to support BrisDoc's goals.
  • Business Partnering and Advisory Support Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to deliver clear, actionable financial advice. Translate complex data into meaningful insights, supporting efficiency, growth, and innovation across services.
