Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Finance Business Partner to join our team. You will build your business knowledge and create strong relationships across divisions; you will have responsibility for pulling together high-quality commercial analysis for a range of key stakeholders.

The Finance Business Partner supporting Product and Tech and Corporate costs will lead cost control and capital expenditure planning across the business. This role is critical in ensuring financial discipline, optimising operational spend, and supporting strategic investment decisions, including ROI. They will work closely with budget holders, project managers, and senior leadership to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions, and drive value.

Key Responsibilities
Cost Management
  • Partner with department leads to monitor and control operating expenses.
  • Provide monthly cost centre reporting, variance analysis, and actionable insights.
  • Support month end processes with accounting team.
  • Work with FP&A to produce cost Budgets and forecasts.
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities and support efficiency initiatives.
  • Involvement in efficiency savings and integration of acquisitions from a cost perspective.
CAPEX Planning & Control
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of capital expenditure projects.
  • Evaluate business cases and ROI for proposed investments.
  • Ensure compliance with capital governance policies and accounting standards.
Business Partnering
  • Act as a trusted advisor to operational teams, translating financial data into strategic guidance.
  • Areas covered will include: Finance, Operations, HR (including all people costs), Facilities, Strategy and Exec and Product and Technology. This may be expanded to cover other areas as and when needed.
  • Support procurement and contract negotiations with financial analysis and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery of capital projects.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and commentary.
  • Support month‑end close processes, accruals and CAPEX capitalisation.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support scenario planning and investment decisions.
  • Produce input for Board reports, Budget reports etc. for the relevant areas.
Process Improvement
  • Drive automation and standardisation of cost and CAPEX reporting.
  • Enhance financial controls and governance frameworks.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 5+ years relevant experience, with solid knowledge of:
  • Cost control governance and ROI
  • CAPEX and Project reporting
  • Building Business cases
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Excel modelling and financial reporting
  • SaaS/recurring revenue models
  • High attention to detail; works accurately and quickly and has good organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines including ability to manage multiple tasks to completion at the same time.
  • A strong desire to keep learning new things.
