Finance Assistant (Eastern Europe & Nordics) role at William Grant & Sons

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Finance Executive to join the BBU Finance team based in Richmond with responsibility for the Eastern Europe & Nordics region. This is a highly diverse role with core responsibility of business partnering various functions to drive performance across the region, whilst also leading on compliance, governance and the maintenance of processes and controls around key transactions across the region. This role touches many different functions across the business; commercial, marketing, supply chain, as well as external distributor partners. Due to the scale and complexity of the region, the role exposes you to different business challenges which we collectively must navigate.

What you will be doing

This role supports the financial management, reporting, planning and analysis of commercial performance for a major global region with a wide and diverse range of markets. You will also support the Finance Manager during monthly reporting periods to meet the regional monthly reporting commitments and provide ongoing support to the Richmond based Commercial Finance team. One of the main priorities for the role will be end-to-end ownership of the regional PO practice, ensuring prompt recording of commitments and provide timely / accurate investment reporting of actuals vs. plans. Another key requirement will be to support governance and compliance across the region especially in areas of Advertising, Promotion, Customer Discounts & Commercial Marketing Investments (APCDMI) controls, including validation of APCDMI spending including backup documentation review.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic individual, part-qualified accountant or on the way to completing a finance qualification with Commercial Finance experience and strong excel skills. You will also be confident in your abilities to communicate (both verbal and written) and build rapport with stakeholders and leaders across the business and be able to establish positive working relationships with individuals across the globe remotely.
